defeat

heya scooby gang,

when I started seriously releasing stuff in 2020. I was working on the album defeat, put out som ep’s some animations and artworks on instagram, and I was really trying to do the instagram hustle. It fuckin’ sucked, I slowly started to hate sharing my shit online cause it was impossible to find an audience. I saw a friend really giving into it, make the exact kind of stuff that is getting traction on those platforms, and he had to sell out so hard, it legit made him quit doing full time art in the end, but he managed to scrounge up a decent following. I bet if had continued down that path he would have kept growing. I refuse to make what the algorithm wants and now I am going back to ye good old newgrounds, hoping to find an online space where I can just be myself, post the shit I make for what it is and just fuckin’ exist as an artist.

I am on the brink of homelessness, meaning ya’ know having to move back to my parents at the age of 31, and it seems like the only way I can make something of my creations is to just ‘sell out’ and become a tiktoker or whatever. So as I am working on the second BIG KILL album—knowing that it might be the last one—that will be either called ‘sober’ (sobriety being the one good thing coming out of my monetary downfall) or ‘last year alive’ (which will be the title if I actually give up)

I am going to share my shit here, hoping that this wonderful space will be a place where I can just share it for what it is and hopefully find people who like what I do.

all crying aside I have been here since as long as I have known about the internet and I love it. So I am gonna stick to my gut and stay where I feel home. I am also very open to collaborating and I am always looking for people who are interested in making music videos. Being able to help other people who are sick artist shine a light on their stuff as well was always a goal with BIG KILL and Galactic Destruction.

So yeah, happy to be here, happy to connect

stay frosty
